DOES MATH REALLY MAKE SENSE?

This year you will be participating in a Self Regulated Math Program. Wondering what it is? Take a look at the information for more information.

The Set Up:

  • The program information page tells you how this program works

  • The student planning page is your guide to keeping track of what work you've done and what is coming up next. It includes all the requirements to achieve a minimally meeting for the unit.

Math in Class:

  • During work time, the teacher will work with small groups to provide support for those in need. 

  • Mini lessons will be delivered by the teacher on a weekly basis to introduce new learning intentions

Math After Class:

  • Students will fill out their goals for the week by referring to their goal sheet . They will assign homework for themselves according to their own pace and level. 

  • Students will fill out the journal reflection page after the weekly quiz.

Class Work Time

Students indicate what they are working on so it's clear and easy to see who needs help or is working independently. Students then select the learning intention they are working on that day and put it in the proper colour column indicating their needs (see sample below)
